Warranty and product life statement
Kasinpress 316L stainless steel press-fit pipes and fittings are manufactured for reliable, long-term service. Subject to the conditions below, Valtech Australia Pty Ltd provides a 25-year warranty against defects in materials or manufacture, commencing from the original date of purchase.
Warranty remedy
If a Kasinpress product is confirmed to have failed during the warranty period due to a defect in materials or manufacture, Valtech Australia will, at its option, repair, replace or refund the affected product. Freight is payable by the buyer.
Warranty conditions
- Genuine Kasinpress pipe, fittings and seals must be used as part of the Kasinpress system.
- The system must be designed and installed by appropriately qualified persons in accordance with Kasinpress instructions, the National Construction Code, AS/NZS 3500 and other applicable Australian requirements.
- Compatible, correctly maintained M-profile pressing tools and jaws must be used. Joints must be prepared and pressed correctly, including marking insertion depth.
- The completed installation must be pressure-tested and commissioned before concealment or use.
- Products must remain within approved pressure, temperature, water-quality, fluid and application limits.
What is not covered
This warranty does not apply where failure or damage results from incorrect design, installation or commissioning; unpressed or incorrectly pressed joints; damaged, missing or incorrectly installed seals; incompatible products, fluids or materials; operation outside published limits; freezing, impact, misuse, alteration, inadequate maintenance, normal wear, external environmental conditions, or circumstances unrelated to a defect in the Kasinpress product.
Unless required by law or agreed in writing before work begins, this express warranty covers the affected Kasinpress product only and does not automatically include investigation, access, removal, labour, reinstatement or consequential costs.
Making a warranty claim
Contact Valtech Australia as soon as practical after discovering a suspected defect. Please provide proof of purchase, installation address and details, installer or contractor details, photographs, product markings or batch identification, and pressure-test or commissioning records where available.
Retain the affected product and make it available for inspection where reasonably possible. Claims will be assessed promptly and fairly based on the installation and the cause of failure.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
This 25-year warranty is in addition to, and does not limit, any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
